DEATHS
MARION -- Richard L. Rowley, 57, 1638 Prospect-Upper Sandusky Road,
passed away at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003., at Marion General
Hospital.
Born May 9, 1946, in Marion, he was the son of the late Edwin E. and
Alma (Hartle) Rowley.
He married Eula M. (Thomas) Rowley; she survives in Marion.
He was a press operator for 32 years at Whirlpool Corporation, life
member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, lay Christian counselor,
altar worker, volunteer with Daniel and Friend Youth Camp, volunteer
with baseball for youth and did high school football officiating.
He is also survived by a son, Kevin (Tina) Stevenson of Monterey,
Calif.; three daughters, Andy (Mary Ann) McClung, Grove City, Keith
(Kristi) Urban, Richwood, Teresa Ramsey, Marion; a sister, Betty
Justice, Marion; six grandchildren, Isiah Ramsey, Desoun Jacobs
Stevenson, Trent Ramsey, Dajia Stevenson, Russ Urban and Sarabeth
Collins; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; his
mother-in-law, Mary Rogers of Chicago, Ill. Richard helped raise foster
children Antonio Thomas, Demetrius Thomas, Reba Thomas and Punita Ellis.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 at Abundant Life Assembly
of God with the Rev. Doug Ford officiating. Burial is in Chapel Heights
Memory Gardens. Friends may call 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Boyd Funeral
Home.
Pallbearers will be Antonio Thomas, Seth Thomas, Russ Urban, Keith
Urban, Ben Collins, Cee, John Rush, Andy McClung and Bud.
