Helen Eliza Davis ~

(nee Rowley)

After a courageous battle with cancer, Helen Eliza Davis passed away on Friday, December 17, 2004 at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 74 years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Henry Davis of Portage la Prairie; son Don (Val) Davis of Portage la Prairie with their children Brad and Scott of Portage la Prairie, Ryan (Michelle) of Winnipeg and Trevor of Alberta; daughter Cathy (Bob) Tufford of Steinbach with their children Sherri (Bob) of Squamish BC, Deryk (Kelly) of Russell; son Allan (Diane) Davis of Winnipeg with their children Heather (Steven) and Jeff (Monique) all of Vancouver BC; son Ken (Julie) Davis with their children Christine and Melanie all of Calgary AB; son Rob (Moriah) Davis of Winnipeg; son Kevin (Tracey) Davis with their children Tyler and Brayden all of Calgary AB; a number of great grandchildren; brother Basil Rowley of Portage; sisters Viola Rogers of Lethbridge AB, Dorothea Cardinal of Portage and Marion (Doug) Horwood of Santa Ana, California; sister-in-law Mary Henderson of Portage la Prairie; brother-in-law Bert (Sheila) Davis of Wetaskiwin AB; many nieces, nephews and special friends.

Helen's favorite season was summer. She was an avid camper and thoroughly enjoyed her times at Lynch's Point. She also enjoyed traveling to California and across Canada visiting family and friends. Family was important to Helen and many friends she considered her 'extended family'. She loved devoting her time and energy to supporting her children and grandchildren in their activities.

In keeping with Helen's wishes there was a private family service with interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Helen's memory to Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8 or to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 200 ? 55 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8 or to Sunset Palliative Care, Inc., Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A7.

.A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Helen by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are in care of arrangements. 857-4021
