MRS. J. L. ROWLEY CALLED

Former Well Known Woman of This Section Called - Buried at Rose Hill Sunday. The many friends of the J. L. Rowley family were pained Friday by the news that Mrs. Rowley had died at her home near Chester, Iowa, on the Minnesota side of the line of cancer, and would be brot here for burial.

Mrs. Rowley had been seriously ill for many months but few of her old friends in this section were aware of it and her death came as a distinct shock.

The family came here from Illinois some sixteen years ago and for five years made their home on the Jas. Braginton farm north of town. From there they went to Lake City and lived there three years on a farm of their own but on selling it returned to another of Jas. Braginton's farms and lived in Center township until they purchased the farm in Minnesota two years ago and moved to it

The deceased was born in Franklyn county, Pennsylvania, August 8th, 1874. Her parents' names were Stephen A. and Charity A. Stick. The family moved to Mt. Morris, Illinois, when she was eight years of age and she lived there until she was married to Jas. L. Rowley, May 18, 1893. In the spring of 1902 the family moved to this section as stated above.

Mrs. Rowley was a splendid specimen of American womanhood. Bright and cheerful, a tireless worker, a splendid wife and mother, she was a woman who won honor and respect wherever known. She was a sincere Christian and died firm in the faith. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and one son, DeLoss E. and a host of friends wherever she was known.

CARD OF THANKS
