| Not to be confused with his cousin, also named
George Hiel Rowley, who served in the Civil War. This man
was the son of George Hial and Catherine (Greene) Rowley.
The other was the son of Orson E. and Keziah (Sweet) Rowley.
He was discharged 27 Feb 1866.. His widow was remarried to William S. Clay 14 Oct 1911 and divorced him 18 Oct 1921. Her claim for pension was denied because of having sufficient assets to avoid penury. |
