His second wife, Mary Sickler, was married several times.  1) to Richard S. Canfield, divorced 6 Mar 1888; 2) to James P. Freer in June 1887 (sic); 3) the soldier, above, 30 Jun 1898;  and, 4) she married Marion M. Hober, 1 Sep 1907.

He was taken prisoner in the 7 days fight before Richmond, 30 Jun 1862, and after 21 days was paroled with McClellan's sick and injured, and was discharged 19 Sep 1862.  He re-enlisted in 1864.

The soldier is Spencer #1-7.1556/8.3.
