| Soldier was cashiered from the service following a
General Court Martial 21 Jul 1862. He was re-appointed as
2nd Lt-- the court martial was countermanded by President
Lincoln. Promoted to 1st Lt. 11 Apr 1864. Taken
prisoner 2 Jun 1864. He was brevetted Captain 13 Mar 1865,
then assigned to mustering duty to Nov 1865; and finally
discharged with regiment 28 Feb 1866.
His pension was REJECTED because he was not honorably discharged from ALL service. An affidavit was filed by a Willson H. Rowley, age 28 in 1896. |
