It is believed that Adelbert Rowley was a twin of Albert L (above). The 1850 census for Erwin, Steuben Co., NY shows this family with children, Albert, 4, and Addlebert, 4. Curiously the mother did not mention the other child (Adelbert) when making her claim. However, Adelbert had married in 1868 and had his own family, which may be the reason for not mentioning him.
